Alma Sue Smith, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 in Decatur, AL.  Mrs. Smith was born August 11, 1945 in St. Louis, MO. She is the daughter of the late James F. and the late Lura (Beard) Walters. She married the late Richard Roderick Smith.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters: Pamela (Todd) Smith Walker and Cynthia Smith Clark; one son: Richard (Kathy) Randall Smith; five grandchildren: Grace Butler, Landon Asa Gaddy, Steven Andrew Butler Jr., Jesse Lee Scott Smith, and Ashley Smith.

Predeceased by her son, Gregory Scott Smith, and sister, Frances Anne Walters Dixon.

A graveside service for Mrs. Smith will be held in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale, MS on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 3:00 pm
