Altha Lee Gibson Yonge, age 92, of Lucedale passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Mrs. Yonge was born March 30, 1926 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late Neal and the late Sallie Catherine (Alford) Gibson. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd E. Yonge Sr. in June, 1985.

She was employed by the George County School System as a bus driver.

She is survived by her son; Lloyd E. "Eddie" (Charlotte) Yonge Jr. of Lucedale, MS and six daughters: Marie (Danny) Moore of Lucedale, MS, Mary Pierce of Lucedale, MS, Catherine (Steve) Williams of Lucedale, MS, Mable (Dominic) Cantillo of Mobile, AL, Sherria Kay Byrd of Leakesville, MS and Glynnis (Billy) Vaughn of Spanish Fort, AL, two sisters: Euleon Denman and Pauline Cochran of TX,; She also has 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Great-great Grandchildren; sister-in-law's, Patsy Gibson and Audrey Gibson and a host of nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her sister, Alice Strickland, sister, Hazel Howell, sister, Aline Brannon, brother, Buddy Gibson, brother, Paul Gibson, great grandson, Cooper J. Brown Pierce, son-in-law, Malcon B. Pierce Jr., and son-in-law, C.E. Byrd.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Harrell Moore, Rev. Skip Holland, and Rev. Joe Ladnier officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
