Annell Moore, age 88, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at Smith Manor in Lucedale MS. She was born on September 29, 1937 to Grady M. Howell and Maude Sherman Howell of Lucedale, MS. Annell was a graduate of Lucedale High School class of 1955. She married Alton Moore on December 31, 1954; he preceded her in death on April 7, 2013.

Annell worked at Lucedale clothing store, Cathy's Closet, for many years. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Russell Moore; daughter-in-law, Felicia Moore; daughter, Wanda Smith (Deltona, FL); granddaughter, Jessica Smith (Deltona FL); granddaughter, Marissa Moore; grandson, Jordan Moore; grandson, Jamie Moore; great grandson, Mason Moore; brother, Don Howell; sister-in-law, Freda Howell.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alton Moore; brothers, Vernon Eli Howell, Aubrey Grady Howell, Franklin Glen Howell; sister, Valda Rae Howell Bryant.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 12153 Hwy 613 Lucedale MS, with Rev. Allen Eubanks and Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026 and from 10:00-11:00 am on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 12153 Hwy 613 Lucedale.
