Anthony "Tony" Parker Caldwell died peacefully at his home on December 1, 2020. Mr. Caldwell was born on May 16, 1940 and was a lifelong resident of Lucedale, Mississippi. He was a graduate of Lucedale High, Perkinston and Mississippi State University. He was employed by Ingalls for twelve years and the United Postal service for 30 years.

Mr. Caldwell was a faithful member of Watermark CMC serving in the following capacities: Gideons, Sunday School teacher, choir member, and Deacon. In his church involvement, he was instrumental in starting the Baby Blessings ministry at Watermark church, a ministry that provides diapers and other baby supplies. He was a mighty prayer warrior of his Lord, continuously praying with and for families in need.

He served in the National Guard. He was a published author of the book entitled: Five Notebooks of Devotions: Tony's View.

His hobbies included playing music with his friends and writing devotions, poems, and songs. Yet, perhaps his favorite hobby and the one he took the most time with was watching/spectating his children and grandchildren at various activities such as dance and piano recitals, band concerts, all types of sports to include soccer, baseball, football, basketball, softball, and pageants. If a Caldwell relative was involved, Tony Caldwell was ALWAYS there.

He was preceded in death by his wife Susie, his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by wife, Tammie and six children: Andy (Loria) Caldwell, Andrea (Chad) Ardoin, Eva (Robbie) LeBert, Joy (Nick) Newhouse, Cassie (Mikie) Hearndon and Josh (Katie) Dixon, nineteen grandchildren: Rebecca (Josh), Scott, Evie, Hallie, Cameron, Calise, Anthony, Andrew, Susie, Parker, Jillian, Emma, Houston, Hannah, Aubrey Belle, Natalie, Bo, Charlie, and Ella and one great grandchild, Genevieve.

Anyone that knew or spoke with Tony knew he believed in the Lord, Jesus Christ. His peaceful demeaner, soft spoken words and his genuine kindness touched the hearts of all with whom he came in contact. His life can be directly linked to the scripture: "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 His final months were not without struggle, but throughout all these final days Tony Caldwell finished his race as a battle-hardened warrior of the faith.

Visitation for Mr. Caldwell will be Saturday December 5, 2020 at Sigler Funeral Home from 9am till 12pm. Funeral services will follow at 12:00pm in the Sigler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
