Barbara Holland passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on November 23, 2020. Family & friends are invited to a visitation at Shady Grove Baptist Church  on Wednesday November 25, 2020 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with service to follow. Masks are required and the family asks that all maintain social distancing protocols and no physical contact.

Barbara is survived by her best friend, partner in crime, and true love, Cohen Holland, her husband of 55 years. Barbara was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She is the loving & devoted mother of Tim Holland of Lucedale, MS, Paige (and Barry) Tweedy of Las Vegas, NV, Becky Holland of Atlanta, GA, and Beth (and Eric) Page of Ocean Springs, MS. She especially loved her role as NeNe to Bryce, Kierstin, Andrew, Brendan, Lizzie, Timothy, Sophie, and Joshua; and Nanna to Heather and Candice. She is also survived by two brothers: Steve (and Lyn) Smith and Rob (and Sandra) Smith, as well as two sisters in law: Betty Cochran and Shirley Kawaoka, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck & Lois Smith and Charles & Lizzie Holland.

She was extremely proud of her involvement in the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as the SALT group at her church. Through the years, she enjoyed many different roles at her church and in her community. Barbara lived a life filled with love & joy and will be missed by all who knew her.
