Beatrice "De De" Baxter, age 93, of Mobile, AL passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at home in Mobile. Mrs. Baxter was born March 7, 1927 in Moss Point, MS. She is the daughter of the late William G. and the late Ona Lee (Bullard) Lynn. She married the late Ernest Ford Baxter Sr who preceded her home on September 12, 1985.

She was employed by Century Bank as a Greeter. Mrs. Baxter was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter: Terri (Steve) Pugh of Mobile, AL; one sister: Brenda (Raymond) Mills and four brothers: Frank Lynn, Bobby (Kay) Lynn, Edwin (Opal) Lynn and Gerald Lynn,; She also has three grandchildren, Steven (Shannon) Pugh of Mobile, AL, Ashley (Jason) Anderson of Knoxville, TN, Andrea (Daniel) Taylor of Pascagoula, MS; eight great grandchildren, Lucas Shane Pugh, Emmett Pugh, Corinne Pugh, Nicholas Anderson, Ana Anderson, Loren Anderson, Alicia (Aditya) Taylor Patwardhan, Cameron Taylor.

Predeceased by her husband, Ernest Ford Baxter Sr, two sons, Earnest Ford Baxter Jr. and Dennis Shane Baxter, four brothers, Emory Lynn, Bill Lynn , Bert Lynn, Harold Lynn, two sisters, Allison Shumock, and Ina Mae Dickens.

A private family graveside service will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, 14146 Hwy 26 West, Lucedale, MS with Rev. John Brock officiating. A celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
