Bertrola Rogers Byrd, 89, of Lucedale, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at her
residence in Merrill. Mrs. Byrd was born April 24, 1926.
She was a member of Lucedale United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clifford Byrd, a son David Byrd, her parents Henry
and Sadie Rogers, and two brothers, Hillman Rogers and Austin Rogers.
She is survived by one son, Dannie (Trista) Byrd of Huntsville, TX, two daughters, Judy (Ed) Lee
of Hattiesburg, and Janice (Greg) Hewes of Lucedale, six grandchildren, Suzanne Thomas of
Grenada, MS, Tracie (Mike) Thornton of Hattiesburg, Jason (Amanda) Byrd of Fort Bragg, NC,
Joshua (Robin) Byrd of Lucedale, Dannie (Vanessa) Byrd of Alaska, Andy (Kristie) Byrd of
Houston, TX, and fifteen great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday February 4, 2016 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248
Main Street, Lucedale, MS, with Rev. Larry White officiating. Burial will follow in Pipkins
Cemetery in Leaf, MS.
Visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00AM on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Sigler Funeral Home,
Lucedale, MS.
