Bessie "Myrtis" Franklin, age 90, of Lucedale, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at home in Lucedale.  Mrs. Franklin was born November 6, 1932. She is the daughter of the late Shannon E and the late Emily Friend Tanner.

She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith, and a member of Eastern Star.

She is survived by one sister, Shirley Warbington; several nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends.

Predeceased by her son, Jones W Franklin Jr.; first husband, Jones Walter Franklin Sr.;  second husband, Benjamin Franklin.

The funeral will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
