Betty Jo McBryde, age 83, of Lucedale died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Smith Manor of Lucedale, MS. Mrs. McBryde was born November 19, 1933 in Nashville, TN. She is the daughter of the late Andrew J. and the late Frances (Shockley) Josey. She married Robert Wesley McBryde on August 29, 1953 at Lucedale, MS. She was predeceased by her husband, on March 1, 2007.

She was employed by First United Methodist Church of Lucedale as a Secretary.
Mrs. McBryde was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lucedale.

She is survived by one daughter: Debby (Tommy) Miller of Vicksburg, MS and one son: Robert A. "Bobby" McBryde of Mobile, AL; one brother: Ricky (June) Josey of Lucedale; She also has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Granddaughter, Nicole (Ted) Hoffman of Pelham, AL; Grandson, Wesley (Lesley) Miller of Vicksburg, MS; Granddaughter, Kaylon Lewis of Jackson, MS; Granddaughter, Ally McBryde of Mobile, AL; Great grandchild, Drew Hoffman; Great grandchild, Reagan Hoffman; Great grandchild, Lexi Miller; Great grandchild, Kimber Miller; Great grandchild, Kaybry Lewis; Great grandchild, Ansley McBryde.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, August 21, 2017 at First United Methodist of Lucedale, 5101 Main Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mitchell Hedgepath officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Sunday, August 20 from 3:00-5:00pm at First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Lucedale.
