Betty Alice Tanner Settles of East Milton Florida, age 87 passed away on Monday, September 02, 2024.

Betty was born in George County, Mississippi to Eldrige and Lucile Tanner. She worked in military exchanges for over 40 years; she loved and valued her customers. She was known for taking beautiful pictures and then giving them away. She always wanted to make people happy with her pictures, helping them capture wonderful moments in life. Betty was happily married to Don Settles for over 30 years, and they shared a life of fishing, gathering the family together and hosting fish fries at the lake.

Betty is survived by sons, Anthony (Sherri) McVay, Tracy McVay, Chris McVay, Lawayne (Phyllis) McVay, and Frank Dominguez; daughters, Donna Schulert (Ron),  Angela Urban, Victoria Marmolejo, Sylvia Linnane (Michael). She has many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Tanner's Chapel United Methodist Church, 26275 Tanner Chapel Rd, Lucedale, MS. Burial will follow in Tanner Cemetery, Lucedale MS.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:30-11:00 AM at Tanner's Chapel United Methodist Church, 26275 Tanner Chapel Rd, Lucedale, MS.
