Betty Jean Weaver, age 84, of Lucedale passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at George Regional Health and Rehab of Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Weaver was born February 2, 1940 in Waynesboro, MS. She is the daughter of the late Fagan and the late Leander (Lofton) Cooley.  She married Omie Gray Weaver, who preceded her in death on September 12, 2016.

She was employed at Wayne Lee's and as a door greeter at Wal-Mart for many years.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Jean (Tony) Flores and Kathleen Harvison;11 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Williams

Predeceased by her husband, Omie Weaver; daughter, Theresa Ann Godino; brother, MacArthur Cooley; sister, Ruby McInniss.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mickey Middleton officiating.  Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 5:00-7:00pm and Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 9:00-10:00am at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS
