Billy James Cranford, age 71, of Lucedale died Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Mobile Infirmary of
Mobile, AL. Mr. Cranford was born September 1, 1945 in Magee, MS. He is the son of the late
James Wilmer and the late Mary Rebecca (Johnson) Cranford. He married Sylvia Williams on
July 24, 1966 at Pascagoula, MS.

He was employed by State Farm Insurance as an Insurance Agent. Billy was a resident of
Lucedale, MS for 43 years. Mr. Cranford was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale.

He is survived by his wife: Sylvia (Williams) Cranford, one daughter: Tiffany (BJ) Temple of
Lucedale, MS and one son: Todd (Mollie) Cranford of Huntsville, AL; one sister: Carolyn
Shepherd of Pascagoula, MS; He also has six grandchildren. grandson, Bailey Cranford;
granddaughter, Katherine Cranford; grandson, Garrett Cranford; grandson, Hayes Temple;
granddaughter, Meredith Temple; granddaughter, Olivia Temple.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, March 10 at First Baptist Church of Lucedale, 345
Summer Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia
Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 10 from 9:30am-12:00pm at First Baptist Church.
