Billy Joe "Uncle Bill" Moore, age 59, of Lucedale passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 at George Regional Medical Center in Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Moore was born June 1, 1962 in Biloxi, MS. He is the son of the late Andrew and the late Alma (Davis) Moore.

He was employed by Dennis Nelson as a carpenter building houses for many years. He loved to fish or anything to do with the outdoors. What he loved most was hanging out and playing with his great nieces and nephews.

He was an active member of Vancleave Live Oak Choctaw Tribe. His Indian name was "White Bear".

He is survived by; his longtime girlfriend, Carol Childress of Lucedale, MS, two sisters: Sarah Butler of Lucedale, MS and Debra (William "Booboo") Butler of Deer Park, AL, and two brothers: Ricky (Dorothy) Moore of Vancleave, MS and Terry (Kim) Moore of Vancleave, MS, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Predeceased by his nephew, Wesley "Tink" Butler, four brothers, Ronnie Moore, Robert Moore, Eugene Moore, Ira Ray Moore, sister, Mira Butler, and brother-in-law, Danny Butler.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.  Burial will be in Butler Family Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
