Calvin Miller, age 82, of Lucedale, MS passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Calvin was a welder by trade. He loved his family, and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, loved to train his hunting dogs, watch westerns and sit on the porch and visit with his family friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Calvin "JC" Miller and Ina Mae Miller, his wife Carolyn Miller, his son Casey Miller and his granddaughter Alisha Patrick.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children: Gary (Sherry) Miller, Mike (Bridgett) Miller, Leslie Patrick, DeeAnn (Tim) Murrah, and Dana (Randy) Patterson

14 Grandchildren: Gary (Darla) Miller Jr., Destiny (Zack) Miller, Kaylee (Dylan) Smith, Caiden Miller, Jase Miller, Madison (Justin) Brewer, Camryn Miller, Daniel Miller,  Ashley Miller,  Aaron Miller, Elizabeth Mier, Cassandra Miller, Bailey Patterson, Brett Patterson

14 Great Grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Tanner Chapel United Methodist Church, 26275 Tanner Chapel Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev Dean Box and Rev. Larry Turner officiating.  Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery, Lucedale on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Calling hours will be Monday, June 30, 2025 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS and Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 9:00am-10:00am at the Tanner Chapel United Methodist Church, 26275 Tanner Chapel Road, Lucedale, MS 39452.

Pallbearers include: Kelly Wright, Delwood "Pop" Tanner, Tony Tanner, Derek Switzer, Herman Dykes Jr., and Bo Cumbest
