Carla Daree Lowery, age 59, of Lucedale, MS passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Lowery was born June 29, 1964 in Mobile, AL. She is the daughter of Gillary Tanner and Ruby JoAnn (McCoy) Tanner.

Carla was employed by Century Bank for over 40 years. She wore many hats during her time at the bank. As Vice President she worked providing customers, stock holders and board members with the assistance they needed. Outside the office, she loved to dance, spend time with family and watch Alabama football. There was no bigger Alabama fan than Carla!

She is survived by one daughter, AnnDaree "Ree" (Jon) Sullivan; father, Gillary Tanner and mother, Ruby JoAnn (McCoy) Tanner; Aunt, "Nana" Sharon Coor.

Predeceased by her brother, Gillary Lance Tanner; Grandparents, Roscoe and Mildred Tanner; grandfather, Robert McCoy; Grandparents, Maxwell and Estelle Duke.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Brother Donnie Williamson officiating.  Burial will be in Joyner Cemetery, 14801Tanner Williams Rd, Wilmer, AL on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
