Carolyn J. Shanks, age 87, of Lucedale, MS passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 in Lucedale. Mrs. Shanks was born November 11, 1934 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late James Welford and the late Carrie (Havard) Welford. Carolyn was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter: Christy (Mickey) A. Weaver and one son: James (Mary Jo) W. Welford; one sister: Sarah L. Hathcock; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
3 Nieces; Faye Courtney, Shay Fleming, Shelly Constancia, 3 nephews; Monty Mizell, Mike Welford, Scott Welford, sister in law; Patsy Welford

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale on Wednesday, January 19.
