Cary Wilson Jones, Sr., 73, of Lucedale passed away on November 10, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of George County. He graduated from George County High School in 1965. He started his career with the United States Postal Service and worked there for 14 years before leaving to start his own business in 1981. He built Jones Electric Sales and Service and worked alongside his son and grandson until retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Free Masons and local lodge. He completed more than 50 years of service as a Master Mason and served as Master of the Lodge. He enjoyed playing billiards and chess and engaging in thought-provoking conversation with friends and family. He lived a quiet and simple life, one with intent and purpose. He considered the life he led to have been complete, having seen his children grow into adulthood and begin careers and families of their own. He was the 4th son to Edward Wesley Jones and Ruby Jones Shearer. He is survived by his 3 brothers, Edward, Thomas, and Richard "Wayne" Jones. Cary was a cherished and devoted father to Cary Jones Jr., Letetia Jones Vuong, and Danielle Jones Mntanga. He was a beloved grandfather to Colby Jones, Channinge Cannon, Colin Jones, Brady Evans, Carigan Jones, Max Vuong, Niko Vuong, and Eden Mntanga. He was a great-grandfather to Isaiah Jones, Orson Cannon, Carys Cannon, Kaisley Radcliff and Willa Jones.

The funeral will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mickey Middleton officiating.

A visitation will be held on Sunday November 14, 2021 from 2-4PM. The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Online donations can be made at www.lovetotherescue.org.
