Cathy Earlene Patterson O'Connor, age 55, of Lucedale died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at
Ochsner Hospital of New Orleans, LA. Mrs. O'Connor was born November 19, 1960 in
Pascagoula, MS. She is the daughter of the late James E. Patterson Jr. and Lena Faye (Jordan)
Patterson. She married Johnny Lee O'Connor he predeceased on August 6, 2006.
She was employed by North Gulfport 7th and 8th grade School as a Teacher for 27 years, where
she taught Science and Robotics, and was state Robotics Teacher of the Year.
She is survived by her beloved twin Sister: Kathryn "Kay" Patterson of Lucedale, MS; Aunt,
Beverly Riley; Uncle, Henry and Darlene Patterson; Aunt, Merle and Randy Needles; Aunt,
Margaret Smith; Uncle, J.C. and Shirley Jordan mother Lena Faye Patterson. Her fur baby
"Bear".
Predeceased by her husband Johnny Lee O'Connor, Father, James E. Patterson Jr.,
Grandparents, John And Maggie Jordan and Ervin And Thelma Patterson.
The funeral will be held on Sunday January 10, 2016 at 1:30pm from Barton Baptist Church,
Hwy 63 South, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Brad Howard and Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial
will be in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery.
