Cora Lee Tanner, age 95, of Lucedale passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at home in Big Point, MS. Mrs. Tanner was born November 1, 1926 in Mobile, AL. She is the daughter of the late Grady and Edith M. (Finch) Davis. She married Vaudie Monroe Tanner, who predeceased her on February 9, 1969, also predeceased by a special companion, Robert Lee O'Berry and a great grandson Kaleb Barker.

During her life she worked at the garment factory; she was a welder at Ingalls Shipbuilding for many years; she was a seamstress; and then a homemaker.

She is survived by; daughter, Deborah (Danny) Glaskox; son, David Monroe Tanner Sr.; daughter-in-law, Linda Tanner; grandchildren, Alan Glaskox (Haley Herring); Shauna (Danny) Tolbert; Sonya (Dwayne) Barker; Sherry Thomas; David Tanner Jr.; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Nettie Stringfellow

Predeceased by siblings, Effie Davis; Essie Hinton; Selma Stringfellow; Esther Stringfellow; Irene Thornton; Eunice Kyles; Edith Mae Johnson; John Davis; Leo Davis; Bobby Goff; Louise Stringfellow; Mary Johnson; Danny Davis.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Tanner Williams Holiness Church, Tanner Williams, AL with Bro. Donnie Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday, February 28, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 at Tanner Williams Holiness Church, Tanner Williams, AL

Pallbearers will be Danny Glaskox, Alan Glaskox, Danny Tolbert, Alvin Goff, Dwayne Barker, and Dennis Stringfellow.
