Curtis Aaron Prescott, born March 8, 1932 in Benndale, MS died February 12, 2022 at home in Lucedale. He was 89 years old.

Retiring with 22 years of military service, he served two tours in Korea and earned the Bronze Star with
a V for Valor for his service in Vietnam. Upon his return to George County, Curtis began "truck farming"
growing watermelons, peaches and more notably tomatoes for nearly 10 years in the community now
known as Twin Creek. He was a founding supporter of the new community donating land for a Volunteer Fire Department to be erected.
He was an avid gardener, SEC enthusiast and enjoyed serving the community as a Mason, Shriner, and
member of the Lucedale Church of God. He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather.

Funeral services will be held at the Lucedale Church of God at 2 pm, February 15, 2022 with Pastor Brandon Stanford, Bro. Dennis Laughlin, nephew Marvin Howell and family friend Barry Williams officiating the services. Interment will be held at the Magnolia Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, February 15 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Lucedale Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jane Nickelson Prescott; children Curtis Len (Julie) Prescott of
Gulfport and Rebecca Dravis of Atlanta; grandchildren Caleb Prescott, Nathan Dravis, Olivia Prescott and
Lillie Dravis along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Lillie (Anderson) Prescott; and all seven of his siblings:
Lawrence (Evelyn) Prescott, Sis (Oree) Fowler, Cecil (Wilonese) Prescott, Edna Earl (DE) King, Mae (Ray)
Howell, Helen (James) Brooks, Loray (Marvin) Howell; and his son-in-law Timothy Peter Dravis

Pallbearers included Curtis Len Prescott, Caleb Prescott, Nathan Dravis, Glen Henderson, Henry Cochran,
Paul Prescott, Stacy Rogers, Ronnie Prescott
Honorary Pallbearers are Louis Valentine and Robert J. Lucas Jr.
