Cyrus Charles Sweet, age 86, of Lucedale, MS died Monday, September 23, 2019 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Sweet was born March 27, 1933 in Omaha, NE. He is the son of the late Everett Sweet and the late Lillian (Harris) Sweet. He married Nona Brannan. He retired from the U. S. Marine Corps as a Captain and from Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Logistics Engineer.

He is survived by his wife: Nona (Brannan) Sweet, one daughter: Tracine (Jeff) Hunt of Murrieta, CA and one son: Cyrus (Ginny) C. Sweet Jr of Aguanga, CA;
5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren;
4 sisters-in-laws: Sharon Eubanks, Linda McLeod, Donna Turner, Teresa Rhodes
3 brothers-in-laws: Marshal Brannan, Ken Brannan, Stephen Brannan

Predeceased by father; Everett Sweet, mother; Lillian Sweet, sisters; Lela Pomo, Mary Zuleger, and Amey Moulton, one brother; John Sweet, step mother; Frieda Sweet, and one daughter; Suzanna Garza,

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. William Amacker officiating. Burial will be in Brannan Family Cemetery, Lucedale on Friday, September 27 at 12:00 pm.
