Daniel "Dan" Mason McManus, Jr., age 81, of Gautier, MS died Friday, July 22, 2022 at home in Gautier. Mr. McManus was born November 11, 1940 in Mt. Vernon, AL. He is the son of the late Daniel Mason McManus, Sr. and the late Sadie Rhee (Cannon) McManus. He married Charlotte Marshall on March 7, 1968. He retired from Singing River Electric as a Supervisor. He served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1959 to1963. Dan was a member of the 4 Mile Creek Baptist Church in Escatawpa, MS.

He is survived by his wife: Charlotte (Marshall) McManus, two daughters: DeAnne (Dwayne) Anderson of Laurel, MS and Daphne (Marcus) Burtt of Gautier, MS, and one son: Danny (Kim) McManus of Albertville, AL; one sister: Frances (Curtis) Hale of Linden, AL and two brothers: Thomas McManus of Mt. Vernon, AL and Frank (Mary) McManus of Saraland, AL,; He also has six grandchildren. granddaughter, Laura Anderson of Laurel, MS; grandson, Timothy Anderson of Laurel, MS; granddaughter, Erin McManus of Albertville, AL; grandson, Evan McManus of Albertville, AL; granddaughter, Leona Burtt of Gautier, MS; granddaughter, Lola Burtt of Gautier, MS; sister-in-law, Myrtle Boykin of Lucedale, MS; sister-in-law, Dotty Dungan of Lucedale, MS; brother-in-law, Victor (Betty) Marshall of Lucedale, MS.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Bro Charles Brady officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lucedale.
