David Eugene Lollis, age 84, of Lucedale passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at Mobile Infirmary of Mobile, AL.  Mr. Lollis was born October 11, 1939 in Belton, SC. He is the son of the late Eugene Pressley and the late Gladys Christine (Elgin) Lollis.  He married Dimple Faye Brewer on January 22, 1967 at Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Richton, MS.

Mr. Lollis was a 1962 graduate from Clemson College. He was a retired Major of the United States Air Force, and was employed by the state of Mississippi Forestry Commission as the county forester of George County from 1971 until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife: Dimple Faye Lollis; son: Wesley (Robin) Lollis; brothers: Thomas (Nona) Lollis and Charles (Brenda) Lollis; four grandchildren: Katherine Lollis, Raine Lollis, Hayden Lollis, and Shawn Lollis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Predeceased by his sister, Sylvia Lollis.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at First Church Of Lucedale, 5101 Main Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. David Newton officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
