Delores C. "Missy" Whatley, age 70, of Lucedale died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at home in Lucedale. Mrs. Whatley was born September 20, 1947 in Sylacauga, AL. She is the daughter of Mary (Knox) Cowart and the late Ralph Cowart. She married Dennis R. Whatley on January 19, 1989 at Lucedale, MS.


She is survived by her husband: Dennis R. Whatley, one daughter: Rendi Murphree and two sons: Scott Murphree and Jason Davis; her mother Mary (Knox) Cowart; one sister: Cindy Benefield; grandson, Grady Davis; niece, Meghan Jones.

A private family memorial service will be held in the outdoors, that Missy loved so much. In lieu of flowers, we ask you to take a friend to lunch, and tell them the things we often think of only after someone is gone.
