Dempsey T. Tanner, age 80, of Lucedale, MS passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at George Regional Rehab Center. Mr. Tanner was born May 31, 1937 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late Roscoe and the late Mildred (Tanner) Tanner. He married Carolyn Kyle; she predeceased him on September 30, 2007.

He served in the Army National Guard. He was employed as a pipe fitter and a pipe welder.

He is survived by daughter: Lisa (Kevin) Stenier and son: Anthony (Brenda) Tanner; two brothers: Gillary (Jodi) Tanner and Donnie (Debra) Tanner,; He also has four grandchildren, Tony (Rachel) Tanner, Blakeli Henry, Garrison Western, and Tanner Western; two Great grandchildren" Maxwell Allen Henry and Della Rhea Tanner.

Predeceased by his brother, M.C ."Tommy" Tanner, and a daughter, Debra Ann Tanner.

The funeral will be held 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Donnie Williamson and Rev. Allen Hinton officiating. Burial will be on Sunday August 27, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Howell Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
