Dennis F. Shoemaker, age 53, of Lucedale, MS passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mr. Shoemaker was born November 16, 1968 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of Lewis Shoemaker and Patricia (Hobby) Shoemaker. He married Kim Cochran on May 20, 2011. He was the owner of Great Southern Sport Association. Through GSSA, Dennis touched countless young lives. Through his efforts, parents, grandparents and coaches knew they could depend on Dennis. His endeavors were well known to people in all walks of life. He was not only a blessing to his community but too other communities throughout this great land. Mr. Shoemaker was a member of R P Bowen Masonic Lodge. The Lodge will conduct Masonic Rites at Magnolia Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife: Kim (Cochran) Shoemaker, three sons: Weston (Sally) Shoemaker, Trey (Tori) Wright and Jonathan (Tamara) Dunn; one daughter: Shelby Wright; father Lewis Shoemaker and mother Patricia (Hobby) Shoemaker; two sisters: Shirley (Gary) Fairley and Kelly (Richard) Maskew; one brother: Eddie (April) Shoemaker; 7 grandchildren that he loved with his whole heart; 9 nieces and nephews;12 great nieces and nephews; Father and Mother In Law: Gary and Linda Cochran; special Uncle and Aunt: Eric and Sherry Ardoin and a host of family and friends.

Predeceased by his son, Jamie Dunn and sister, Dana Lee Shoemaker

The funeral will be held 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Milton Murrah Baseball Field, Cowart Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Anthony Hobby officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm at Milton Murrah Baseball Field.

The Shoemaker family requests that all players and coaches wear their uniforms to honor Dennis. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children's Foundation Outreach Program.
