Dr. Donald M Boone, age 73, of Lucedale, MS. passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Covenant Hospice in Mobile, AL.  Dr. Boone was born September 15, 1949 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late Henry Maxwell and the late Mary Sue (Douglas) Boone.  He married Jamie Godwin on February 20, 1970.

He was a Minister with the Southern Baptist Church for Over 50 Years.

Dr. Boone entered the ministry in 1967, where he served as pastor in churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky and Alabama. He has been a much sought-after revivalist, evangelist, and Bible Conference speaker and teacher. Through the years of his ministry, he has remained faithful to both the Word of God and the call that God placed on him at age sixteen.

The son of a Baptist pastor, he was raised up by godly parents. He is a graduate of the University of Mobile in Mobile, AL and holds the Master of Arts and Doctor of Ministries degrees from Southern Baptist Center for Biblical Studies in Jacksonville, FL.

Dr. Boone is survived by his wife: Jamie (Godwin) Boone  and two daughters: Chrissy (Charlie) Mitchell and Heather (Chuck) Crouch, brother: Randy (Becky) Boone; four grandchildren;  Faith Mitchell, Jane Mitchell,  AnnGrace Mitchell, Charlotte Crouch; sister-in-law, Sue Boone, brother-in-law, Steve Godwin, sister-in-law, Elaine Postma, sister-in-law, Bert Pope, Many Nieces And Nephews.

Predeceased by his parents and a brother, Ricky Boone.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Monday, March 6,2023 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2147 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS, with Dr. Randy Davis  officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
