Doris Pitts Tanner, age 86, of Lucedale, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Mrs. Tanner was born August 28, 1931 in Waynesboro, MS. She is the daughter of the late Hudie and the late Gladys (Harrison) Pitts. Mrs. Tanner was a longtime resident of Lucedale, MS and for the last few years she lived in Round Rock, TX. She married Harell L. Tanner. She was predeceased by her husband, Harell L. Tanner on June 2, 2003.

She was a Home Maker.
Mrs. Tanner was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale.

She is survived by daughter: Denice (Reid) Smith of Lucedale, MS and one son: Marty (Kelly) Tanner; She also has eight grandchildren, Blake Smith, Braxton Tanner, Tucker Tanner, Kayden Tanner Jennifer (Larry) Varner, Tim Bailey, Rob Wilson, Mariel (Tyler) Williams; Great grandchild, Jaxon Varner.

Predeceased by her daughter, Dianne DeVaughan.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Magnolia Cemetery, 328 Mill Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mark Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS
