Mrs. Dorothy Broome, age 88, of Lucedale, MS passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018. Mrs. Broome was born December 6, 1929 in Houston, TX the daughter of the late Alfred Mack "Jack" and the late Annie Dee (Piercy) Dickerson. She was predeceased by her husband, Jabus Jerome "JJ" Broome Jr. on March 15, 1981.

She was a Homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale.

She is survived by daughter: Marcia (Neal) Dixon; sister: Jackie Stringfellow; two grandchildren: Emily Hope Dixon, Sara Elizabeth Dixon; sister-in-law, Ruby Broome Read.

She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Dickerson Burrows and special nephew, John Timothy "Butch" Dressler.

The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
