Douglas Calvin Danley, age 81, of Lucedale, MS passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Springhill Memorial Hospital of Mobile, AL. Mr. Danley was born May 8, 1938 in Pensacola, FL. He is the son of the late Bernard Douglas and the late Edna Ruth (Ethridge) Danley.

He was employed as an ironworker. Mr. Danley was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Douglas is survived by his brother Frank Danley of Lucedale, MS and four children - Tony (Lynn) Danley of Birmingham, AL; Bernie Danley of Staten Island, NY; Steve (Toni) Danley of Mobile, AL; and Lisa (Fred) Robertson of Saraland, AL.

He was the proud grandparent of 11: Brooke Williams, Blake Rowell, and Jacob Danley (Tony); Chris Rule, Melissa Brannon and Amanda Philley (Bernie); Stacy Williams, Shane Danley, Chase Danley and Brandon Danley (Steve); and Rachel Robertson (Lisa).

Douglas is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 14170 Hwy 98, Lucedale, MS with Rev. John Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
