Douglas Louis Gibson, age 65, of Lucedale passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at USA Medical Center of Mobile, AL.  Mr. Gibson was born January 2, 1959 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Billy Joe Gibson and Elizabeth Jo "Peggy" Holland.

He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

He is survived by one son, Stephen Gibson; his mother, Elizabeth Jo "Peggy" Holland; brothers, David Gibson and Eddie (Tonja) Holland; numerous aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his daughter, Sara Gibson; his brother, Billy Glen Gibson; sister, Tammy Lynn Gibson; and Daddy, Ed Holland.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jeff Morris and Rev. William Davis officiating.  Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Lucedale on Sunday, February 25 at 3:00 pm.
