Edward Russell "Edd" Evans, age 89, of Lucedale passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at home in Lucedale.  Mr. Evans was born March 17, 1934 in Mashulaville, MS. He is the son of the late Edward Eugene and the late Carolyn (Russell) Evans.  He married Mary Evelyn Dorsett.

He served in the United States Armed Forces during Peace Times from 1957 to 1959.  He was the owner of Lucedale Ready Mix Co and Evans Feed and Seed store. Mr. Evans was a member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale where he served as a Deacon for many years.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Evelyn (Dorsett) Evans three sons: Edward Russell Evans Jr., Justin Dorsett Evans and Raymon Stennis Durrett Evans; one sister: Frances Evans Wright and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Lucedale, 345 Summer Street, Lucedale, MS.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
