Edward Earl Newbill, age 78, of Moss Point passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 at home in Moss Point surrounded by his family.  Mr. Newbill was born August 14, 1943 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Felton Edward and the late Dora (Havard) Newbill.  He married Edwina Smith on February 7, 1964.

He was employed by International Paper Co. as an operator; he was the one who shut down the last machine when they closed the plant. Mr. Newbill was an avid hunter, golfer, race car builder coach and umpire for many baseball and softball teams.

He was great husband, father, grandfather and BawBaw to his three great grands. He will greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife: Edwina (Smith) Newbill , one daughter: Kelli (Thomas) Pope of Moss Point, MS and one son: Todd (Kim) Newbill of Moss Point, MS; He also has four grandchildren,  Brandon (Jill) Pope, Seth Newbill, Meagan Pope and Caeleb (Sarah) Newbill; three great grandchildren, Tamzy Pope, Beckham Pope and Lakin Newbill.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Bill Parmer and Sean Wilkenson officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
