Elvin L. King, age 89, of Benndale passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones in Benndale. Mr. King was born December 12, 1935 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Melvin S. King, Sr. and the late Viola M. (Byrd) King. He married Carolyn Dean June 2, 1962; She passed away October 25, 1999. He married Estelle Havard in 2001; she passed away in December 2023.

He served in the Navy and then the United States Naval Reserve. He enjoyed many years as scoutmaster of troop 114 Benndale, MS in the early 1960s. He was a member and president of the local 203 union. He retired from International Paper Company in September of 1999. He loved to go fishing.

He is survived by daughters, Sharon (Lonnie) Goff and Angie (Wayne) Reeves; son, Tim (Yvonne) King; grandchildren, Buddy (Samantha) Goff, Jake (Riley Baucum) Goff, Nicole (Dustin) Alexander, Shawn (B.J.) Nolan, Garrett (Y Trinh) King, Ryan King, Stephan De Beer; great grandchildren, Kynlee Goff, Konner Goff, Olivia Goff, Reagan Alexander, Holden Nolan, Lyla Jane Nolan, Tony King, Rocky King, Elvin King.

Predeceased by 11 Siblings; grandchild, Walter De Beer.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Minister Bobbie Jacques, Bro. Ben Bentsen, and Bro. Willie Ray Fairley officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Benndale.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 1:00-2:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS
