Etoile Buckhalter, age 85, of Lucedale passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Buckhalter was born March 7, 1936 in Leaf, MS. She is the daughter of the late Clarence and the late Mildred (Knight) Fairley.  She married James B Buckhalter.

She was employed as a waitress at the original Coffee Pot Café for 30 years.

She is survived by one daughter: Susan Holland and one son: Mitchell (Susie) Buckhalter;grandchildren; Crystal (Wesley) McGrew, Rachel (Robert) Walters, Lora (Larry) Jones, Rebecca Buckhalter, Christopher (Janelle) Buckhalter, Sarah (Bill) McArthur; great grandchildren, Tyler Sheppard, Taylor Kirkland, Jared (Raven) Sheppard, Ashley(Quinn) Nobles, Quin Jones, Alaya Buckhalter, Jayden Jones, Taleeah Wesley, Byron Buckhalter, Tinylee Buckhalter, Haizlee Buckhalter, Grason Buckhalter, Peyton Cunningham, Kinley Cunnington, Carson Cunnington, Tessa McGrew, Emmett McGrew, Liam McArthur, Lane McArthur, and William McArthur;great great grandchildren, Jasmine Nobles, Mason Nobles, and Audie Mae Sheppard;siblings: Lavelle Fairley, Jackie Howell, J.W.(Janice) Fairley, Faye Havard, Gene(Carole) Fairley, Dean(Mary Lou) Fairley, Kathia(Kenneth) Davis.

Predeceased by her husband, James Buckhalter; siblings, Charles Ray Fairley, Lorene Cochran, Lavada Havard; sisters in law, Jenny Fairley, Dottie Fairley; brothers in law, Harold Havard, Darwin Howell, Ed Havard, and TD Cochran.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Rodney Coleman officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
