Evonne (Vonnie) Davis Howell, age 89, of Lucedale, MS returned to her
heavenly home on Saturday December 12, 2020 at George County Regional
Center. Her devotion to her family and love ones with her firm belief in God
supported her during this journey home. She is the daughter of the late
Thomas Davis and the late Lula Davis. She married George (Buster) Howell
who preceded her in death November 1965.
She is survived by one son George Buckey (Lisa) Howell, and two
grandchildren Michael Jamison and Christopher (Candace) Jamison, and
seven great grandchildren Trent, Caryss, Jaycie, Lydia, Isley, Emlynne and
Avaly.
Predeceased by five brothers and sisters; Dock Davis, Lat Davis, Jill Davis,
Alese Howell, and Gevena Creel. Vonnie was blessed with a large loving
family of cousin's, niecie's, nephew's, and church family.
Vonnie life is a testimonial of her personal Christian Faith, a Woman of God
serving in the community and church for the greatness of God. Her spiritual
beliefs and virtues applied in her own life daily. I continue by stating, "She
had a deep beauty and artistic touch for handmade quilts, sewing and
canning". Our dearly beloved Mom will be missed!
The graveside funeral will be held at Crossroads United Methodist Church
Cemetery at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 with Rev.
David Collette officiating. Visitation will be in the church cemetery from 10:30 to 11:00 am at Crossroads UMC 10274 Hwy 26 West, Lucedale, MS.
