Fred Wayne Chavers, age 77, of Lucedale passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at home
in Lucedale. Mr. Chavers was born June 17, 1939 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late
George W. and the late Eda G. (Tipton) Chavers. He married Betty Jo Busby on June 6, 1964.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was self-employed farmer.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Jo Chavers; four sons: Mark (Chris) Chavers of Lucedale, MS,
Lance (Tonya) Chavers of Lucedale, MS, Cody (Kristy) Chavers of Memphis, TN and Shane
Chavers of Mobile, AL,; two sisters: Jerri Tuck of West Chester and Lucille Castaloi of West
Chester, PA, and two brothers: Walter Chavers of Columbus, GA and George Chavers of
Corpus Christi, TX,; He also has, 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248
Main St., Lucedale, MS with Bro. Milton Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens,
830 Sims Road Eight Mile, AL on Saturday April 22, 2017 at 12:00pm.

Calling hours will be Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248
