Freda Dees, age 93, of Mobile, AL passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at home in Mobile.  Mrs. Dees was born January 14, 1931 in Soso, MS. She is the daughter of the late Van and the late Ada (Valentine) Gunter.  She married Owen Dees on January 9, 1950; he preceded her death September 24, 2009.

Mrs. Dees was a homemaker. She was a member of Orchard Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a huge Alabama football fan and she loved hummingbirds.

She is survived by many family members and friends.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at Orchard Grove Baptist Church, 6960 Overlook Road, Mobile, AL with Rev. George Riek officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Crest West Cemetery, 1599 Snow Rd Mobile, AL on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 1 PM.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:00-11:00am at Orchard Grove Baptist Church, 6960 Overlook Road, Mobile, AL
