George Clarence Alford, Sr., age 85, of Lucedale passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at home in Lucedale.  Mr. Alford was born August 17, 1937 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late Rufus and the late Quillie Williams Alford.  He married Judy Agent on January 31, 1959.

He was employed as a welder.

He is survived by his wife, Judy C. Alford; four daughters, Theresa Hutchinson, Lisa Pitts, Katherine (Link) Holcombe and Connie (Bob) White; four sons, George "Bubba" Alford Jr., Stevie Alford, Spartacus Alford and Dartagnan (Jeni) Alford; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his son, Glennis Dwayne Alford.

The graveside funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 594, Leakesville, MS with Rev. Johnny Duncan officiating
