Gloria Dawn Slayter, age 88, of Moss Point, MS died Saturday, May 1, 2021 at in McLain. Mrs. Slayter was born June 29, 1932 in Oil Trough, AR. She is the daughter of the late Herschel Elmer Stites and the late Mattie Rae (Chisholm) Stites. She married the late Joel Eldon Slayter.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Home Maker.

She is survived by one daughter: Connie Smith and two sons: Joel Michael Slayter and Terry Allen Slayter, one sister: Glenda "Jack" Vanwinkle; 11 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her daughter, Sondra Faye Robertson, husband, Joel Eldon Slayter

The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church, 9244 Hwy 57, McLain, MS with Rev. Troy Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Life Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 5 from 9:30-10:00am at New Life Baptist Church.
