Gloria Joyce Smith, age 82, of Lucedale died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Sparrows Hills Personal Care of Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Smith was born June 14, 1935 in Waynesboro, MS. She is the daughter of the late William Melvin Dement and the late Della (Pugh) Dement. She married Bobbie Lee Smith.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and home maker.

She is survived by two daughters: Beverly (Ricky) Howell and Jullie (Mike) Creel, and three sons: Eric (Shirley) Weeks, Dennis Weeks and Randy Weeks,
12 grandchildren 34 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren
3 sisters: Barbara (Jerry) Vise, Linda (Paul) Nixon, Sandra (Douglas) Hatcher
brother: Paul Dement
Preceded in death by 2 brothers: Shelton Dement, Wayne Dement

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Lighthouse Worship Center, Hwy 26 West, Lucedale, MS with Brother Darrick Hoyt officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Friday, January 5 from 9:00-11:00am at Lighthouse Worship Center.
