Grover Eugene Merritt, Jr, age 56, of Wiggins died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital of Hattiesburg, MS. Mr. Merritt was born January 6, 1962 in Biloxi, MS. He is the son of the late Grover Eugene and the late Alverta (Suarez) Merritt Sr. He married Teresa Jackson on June 9, 1993 at Moss Point, MS. He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator.

He is survived by his wife: Teresa (Jackson) Merritt, two daughters: Kelly (Jacob) Fritzler and Haylee Clardy, and three step sons: Chuck (Crystal) Clardy Jr, Terry (April) Clardy and John (Jennie) Clardy, 18 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren

Predeceased by his parents, Grover & Alverta Merritt, and 3 Grandchildren

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Midway Baptist Church, Hwy 98 W, Lucedale, MS with Bro. Johnny Williams officiating.
