Harry "Darden" Loper, age 54, of Lucedale passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mr. Loper was born February 26, 1967 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Billy Ray Loper and Lenora Cochran Bates. He married Mrs. Melissa Parker.

He served our country in the army. He was a preacher and a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife: Melissa Loper; two daughters: Kayla (Mikie) Mills and Marsha (Brandon) Holliman;grandchildren, Kaydence, Samuel, Micah, Darden Jr., Kylie, Emily, Easton, and Sam, mother, Lenora Bates; three sisters and four brothers: Lanelle (Chad) Sullivan, Donnelle Loper, Vickie (Don) Martin, Robin (Johnny) Tanner, Gary Loper, John (Cindy) Bates, and Tommy (Anna Kay) Bates.

Predeceased by his sister, Brenda (Burdette) Boulware; father, Billy Bates; father, Billy Ray Loper; Maternal Grandparent, Aubrey Bob Cochran; Maternal Grandparent, Virginia H. Cochran; Paternal Grandparents, Harry (Vermel) Loper; Mother-In-Law, Bobby Parker; and
Father-In-Law, Buster Parker.

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Glen Hodges and Rev. Ronald Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
