Harvey Travis Howell, age 99, of Lucedale, MS died Monday, February 7, 2022 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mr. Howell was born June 5, 1922 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Lee Howell and the late Stella (Williams) Howell. He was an active member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in the Basin Community. He proudly served six years in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by nephew, Glenn (Janet) Cochran. Nieces; Donna (Kenn) Holt of TX, Beverly (Joe) Kirkland of NC, Anita Heyd of AZ, Lori Burelson of OK, and great niece, Samantha (Brad) Emerson.
He was preceded in death by his son, Trent Howell, Brothers; Houston Howell, Delbert Howell, Autrey Glenn Howell, Sisters; Eugenia Brewton, Monta Glee Howell, Alvida Cochran, Bernadyne H. Fagan. Parents Lee & Stella Howell

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to Pleasant Hill UMC or Basin Volunteer Fire Dept.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 111 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Jonathan Tullos and Rev. Josh Ivey officiating. Burial will be in Byrd-Helveston Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 11 from 10:00-11:00am at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
