James Littleton Glawson, age 80, of Lucedale passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mr. Glawson was born May 7,1945 in Tifton, GA. He is the son of the late Javus and the late Elva Ercelle (Littleton) Glawson.  He married Carol Bailey on January 29, 1989.

He graduated from Seminole County High School in Donalsonville Georgia in 1963. He joined the United States Air Force in 1964. After 25 years of service, he retired in1989 at Tyndall Air Force Base FL. He moved to Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. He retired from the Civil Engineering Squadron in 2006. He and his wife moved to Lucedale MS in November of 2009. He was a member of First Church in Lucedale. Mr. Glawson was a man of many talents.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Beth Bailey Glawson; sons, Keith Brian Glawson, Kevin Scott Glawson; daughter, Karen Marcum; stepson, Clarence Marvin Ladner III (Stacy); stepdaughter, Venda Lois Ladner; brother-in-law, Benjamin Franklin (Diane) Bailey III; sister-in-law, Sidney Frances Bailey; sister-in-law, Necie Dale Williams Glawson; granddaughter, Milly Cobh (Brian) McGee; grandson, Seamus Ladner.

Predeceased by his parents, Javus and Ercelle Glawson; son, James Michael Glawson; brother, Joseph Henry Glawson; paternal grandfather, James Littleton Glawson; paternal grandmother, Ella Elizabeth McLane Glawson; maternal grandfather, Alonzo Milliard (L.M.) Littleton; maternal grandmother, Bessie Viola Hicks Littleton.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street, Lucedale. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street, Lucedale.
