James Hiram Havard, age 95, of Lucedale, MS died Saturday, April 6, 2019 in Lucedale. Mr. Havard was born May 20, 1923 in Delo, MS. He is the son of the late Hiram Matthew and the late Mary (Claxton) Havard. He married Carrie Lucas on October 12, 1946. He was predeceased by his wife on January 7, 2018. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired Truck Driver. Mr. Havard was a Lifetime Deacon of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by one daughter: Bonnie (Bill) Mims of Tupelo, MS and one son: Marshall (Gail) Havard of Lucedale, MS; granddaughter, Nikki (Chad) Cochran of Hurley, MS; grandson, Braden (Phala) Mims of Thomasville, MS; grandson, Mark (Anna) Havard of Vancleave, MS; grandson, Chad (Aletha) Mims of Tupelo, MS; 10 Great Grandchildren: Taylor Cochran, Alexis Cochran, Lainey Cochran, Jack Mims, Anna Madelyn Mims, Hiram Havard, Hudson Havard, Olivia Kate Mims, Marley Mims, Will Mims, sister, Evelyn (Ormond) Cronier

Preceded in death by: wife, Carrie B. Havard, parents, Hiram and Corine Havard, 3 brother, Marshall Havard, Verlon Havard, Louis Havard

The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 2147 Rocky Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Greg Barker officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 10 from 11:30am- 1:00pm at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
