James Robert Johns, age 85, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Sparrow Hills Personal Care Home of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Johns was born November 8, 1940 in Monticello, AR. He is the son of the late Lee Robert and the late Cora Mooney Johns. He married Evelyn Marlene Mooney.

He was a pipeline superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marlene Johns; daughter, Debbie Harris; son, Robert Johns; daughter, Tammy Harris; son, Terrell Johns; son, Greg Harris; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Carlos Johns, Wanda Sue, and Jaunita Hartness.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street, Lucedale MS 39452, with Rev. Josh Ivey and Rev. Carl Randall officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street, Lucedale MS 39452.
