Jane Nickelson Prescott, born February 17, 1936, in the community of Rocky Creek, MS died September 4, 2024 surrounded by family at Methodist Seashore Highlands in Gulfport, MS.

A graduate from Rocky Creek High School, Jane worked at Singing River Electric Cooperative before marrying Curtis Aaron Prescott in March 1960 and becoming a dedicated military wife of 20-plus years. She was a business proprietor owning & operating a downtown Lucedale store; voting advocate with years of ballot & polling service; and community servant through the George County Eastern Star Order where she served as a Worthy Matron and long-time member of the Lucedale Church of God.

While the Prescott's are known for their roadside produce stand, Jane's interest grew in horticulture earning her a Master Garden distinction she shared in the Twin Creek Community. She found joy in the simple pleasures with friends and family and always had an open-door and cup of coffee available. Jane lived by faith, grew in grace, and walked in love.

She is survived by her two children Curtis Len (Julie) Prescott of Gulfport and Rebecca Prescott Dravis of Atlanta; grandchildren Caleb Prescott, Nathan Dravis, Olivia Prescott, and Lillie Dravis; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband Curtis Prescott of 62 years; her parents Columbus "Lum" and Lillie Stevens Nickelson; all her siblings, Gertrude Eubanks, Bermell Brashier, Ann Amzie Yates, Floyd Nickelson, Roy Nickelson, Raymond Nickelson, David Nickelson, and Troy Nickelson and her son-in-law Timothy Peter Dravis.

Pall Bearers will be Curtis Len Prescott, Rebecca Prescott Dravis, Caleb Prescott, Nathan Dravis, Tommy Moulton and Mike Welford.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Lucedale Church of God, 11 W Frontage Rd Lucedale, MS with Rev. Brandon Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Lucedale Church of God, 11 W Frontage Road, Lucedale, MS.
