Jared Wayne "J Bird" Brannan, age 51, of Lucedale passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at home in Lucedale.  Mr. Brannan was born May 17, 1973 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late Jerald Brannan and Dianne (James) McClure.

He was an Ironworker/boilermaker and a truck driver during his lifetime. He loved to dance and he enjoyed family time. He always loved to make people laugh and had the kindest heart. He especially enjoyed picking with children and making them laugh.

He is survived by mother, Dianne (James) McClure; one son, Justin (Allison) Brannan; two daughters, Carrie (Caleb) Hoven and Samantha (Braxton) Clark; companion, Greta DeVaughn; grandchildren, Blakely Randall, Daithan Hoven, Paul Wayne Clark; sisters, Paige McClure, Jacqueline (Tony) Cochran and Jessica (Keith) Finch; nieces and nephews, Tyler(Leah) Holifield, Tori (Jacob) Bradley, Maddie Finch, Conner (Mackenzie) Dunlap, Mason Cochran, Tucker Cochran, Evan Cochran, Camden Cochran;great nephews, Turner Holifield, Reid Dunlap.

Predeceased by his father, Jerald Brannan; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Aniece Gartman; paternal grandparents, Keith and Harriet Brannan.

Serving as pallbearers will be Al Cooley, Steve Rainey, Cole Ainsworth, Kendall Ainsworth, Dakota Williams, and Josh Greenhill.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Tim Arrington officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
