Jenny Jones Powell, age 78, left this world on September 14, 2025. She was surrounded by her family in the Gatlin Creek Hills of Greene County Mississippi.

Jenny was known as a free spirit. She loved to travel and have grand adventures. Jenny enjoyed telling stories about being a GoGo dancer in her youth. She loved to dance and won numerous dance competitions. She had a love of music and was in attendance at Woodstock. Jenny enjoyed the outdoors as well. She loved to fish, scout for arrowheads, and go deer hunting. She was an avid tennis player and was ranked highly in her age division. One of her favorite memories was attending a tennis match at Wimbledon in England, but mostly Jenny loved going on vacation with her best girlies.

Jenny's greatest love was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended nearly every event they were involved in. She taught all her grandsons how to fish and took her granddaughters on many shopping sprees. Jenny spent quality time with her great grandchildren as well by attending school functions, sporting events, or snuggling with them while watching their favorite movies.

Jenny will be remembered as a loyal friend, a devoted grandparent, and the most caring person to the people she loved dearly.

Jenny is preceded in death by her parents, M.L. Wright and Genevieve (Clark) Wright; brothers, Michael and Steve Wright; nephew, Pete Wright.

Jenny is survived by her children, David Apraham, Sali (Mike) Westmoreland, Ransom (Amanda) Jones IV; Grandchildren, Tristan (Sara) Reynolds, Josh Apraham, Brendan (Mattea) Jones, Morgan (Chase) Davis, Sydni Westmoreland, Whitley Yates; Great grandchildren, Cayson and John Jones, Scarlett and Rylie Reynolds, Brooks and Hudson Davis; nephew, Anthony Wright.

Jenny would have also liked to acknowledge Jane Ewing and Marlene Young as her self-proclaimed sisters whom she loved deeply along with Shane Parker and Wendy Rawls who she considered and loved as her own children.

There will be a private service held for Jenny at a later date.
